Wearable raccoon eyes?!

The 2000’s were an interesting decade for beauty and fashion…

One of my first encounters with makeup was sticking my finger in a black eyeshadow and trying to do a “smokey eye”. Time for redemption!

Admittedly, I bought the Colourpop Smoke Show palette because it looks so visually satisfying! I like how it has warm toned and cool toned grey. Today, I’ll be using cool tones.

If you’re like me and usually put on eye shadow with your fingers, I’m sorry to say that you’ll have to use brushes.

I used the top right shade (Stone Face) as a light base. I darkened it with a mid toned shade, which is the middle left one (Slated). I used the matte black on the bottom left with the very very very light hand to darken the lash lines. It’s ironic how this matte black is called Let’s Do It. No, don’t do it. Don’t go ham.

This is a basic matte look that could be everyday appropriate.

Buuttt….I’m a total glitter addict. Life just seems better with some sparkle!

The middle shade (Start Struck) is so metallic and sparkly! I used my pinkie fingers to put this on the inner corners and the middle of the lid. I also went into the bottom left shade (Night Dream) with a very very very light hand to add some subtle glitter to the lash lines.

Another thing I like about this palette is that there’s a matte black and a glittery black.

Whenever I do an everyday grey eye, I keep the rest of the face more neutral. I used a peachy blush and mauve lip, but you could do a red lip for a glam look!

Overall, I’m enjoying getting into grey eye shadow. I might do another post on how many different eye looks I can do with this palette!
